In The Studio

Sullivan's Golden Hour centers on the Sullivan's Island Lighthouse as warm light settles across the coast at day’s end. Built through layered warm and cool color, visible mark making, and vibrant pops used with restraint, the piece holds a calm glow that feels both lively and collected.

Originally part of my 2023 Sullivan's Island Collection, this work reflects the familiar steadiness of the lighthouse within a changing sky. The vertical composition draws the eye upward through softened layers of color and atmosphere, letting light take precedence over detail and giving the scene a quiet, luminous presence.

Part of the Coastal Landscapes collection, this print reflects an ongoing connection to Sullivan's Island and the subtle shifts in Lowcountry light that arrive slowly and change everything without announcing themselves.
