In The Studio

I created this piece after spending an afternoon kayaking a meandering coastal creek winding through the Lowcountry marsh. The tide gently guided us along the waterway, and the quiet rhythm of the landscape invited us to slow down and simply take it all in. Along the way, we watched coastal birds drift overhead, listened to hermit crabs popping in the pluff mud, and caught the occasional splash of a fish disappearing beneath the surface.

What stayed with me most was the sense of peace - the feeling of moving through a landscape that seemed untouched by time. I wanted to capture that quiet beauty, where the winding creek, soft marsh grasses, and changing light create a place that allows you to exhale and feel fully present.

About This Piece
Meander is inspired by the quiet movement of a Lowcountry creek as it winds through the marsh. The vertical rectangular composition draws the eye gently through the waterway, creating a sense of depth, calm, and natural rhythm.

This coastal landscape art print reflects the stillness found in places shaped by tide, grass, sky, and time. With its peaceful marsh setting and winding creek, Meander brings a grounded, restorative feeling into the home - refined, natural, and deeply connected to life along the coast.

Whether displayed in a Charleston home, a coastal cottage, a hallway, bedroom, entryway, or waterfront retreat, this piece offers a quiet reminder of the beauty found when we allow ourselves to follow the slower rhythm of the natural world.

Produced from a high-resolution scan of my original painting, each museum-quality giclee is available on archival textured paper or stretched canvas with mirrored wrapped edges.
