In The Studio

I created Let’s Float from a coastal creek on Cape Cod, a landscape shaped by tides, sandy banks, salt air, and long summer days near the water.

I wanted to capture the quieter side of summer on the Cape - the places you return to after the beach, where the water winds through the landscape and an afternoon can be as simple as swimming, floating with the tide, or exploring the shoreline. Through softened blues, earthy greens, sandy neutrals, and loose layers of paint, I focused on the familiarity and ease that make these coastal places feel like summer itself.

About This Piece
Let’s Float is a Cape Cod coastal landscape fine art print by Ryan Beck, inspired by the tidal creeks, salt marshes, and sandy shorelines that shape summers along the New England coast.

A quiet creek winds between sun-warmed sand and marsh grasses beneath an open blue sky. Weathered branches rest along the bank while still water reflects the surrounding landscape. Soft coastal blues, earthy greens, warm sand, and understated neutrals give the piece the natural, relaxed palette of Cape Cod.

There is a particular rhythm to summer on the Cape. Days follow the tide. Towels dry in the sun. Bikes collect sand. Swims happen in cold salt water, and the same creeks, beaches, and winding roads become part of the traditions families return to year after year.

Let’s Float was created to hold a little of that feeling - the freedom of an unhurried summer afternoon and the familiarity of a coastal place you know by heart. For those who grew up spending summers on Cape Cod, return to the New England coast each year, or simply feel most at home near the water, the landscape carries a sense of both escape and belonging.

Whether displayed in a Cape Cod home, New England beach house, waterfront retreat, or a home far from the coast, Let’s Float brings with it the quiet beauty and nostalgia of summer by the water.
