In The Studio
I created Firehorse inspired by the Chinese zodiac and the meaning behind the Year of the Fire Horse - a symbol of intense energy, passion, independence, and rapid transformation. I was also drawn to the intuitive healing presence of horses, their strength, companionship, and quiet ability to reflect something deeply human back to us.
Through layers of color and texture, I wanted to suggest the spirit of a wild horse moving through an open field - powerful, untamed, and full of life. This piece became an exploration of freedom, instinct, and the kind of inner fire that carries us through seasons of change.
